Steps to Scan Your Digital Footprint
Open the App: Log in to your PrivacyHawk account and navigate to the Digital Footprint Tool from the main dashboard.
Start a Scan: To run a new scan, go to the Digital Footprint dashboard and locate the 'Find companies with my data' area. Below, you'll see 'Scanning complete' and next to it, two revolving arrows. Click these arrows to initiate a new scan and update your results. This make take a few minutes to complete.
Review Results: Once the scan is complete, the results will display a detailed list of companies that might be potential vulnerailities and that you can review.
Taking Action
Opt Out: Use the app’s built-in tools to send opt-out requests to these platforms.
Track Progress: Monitor the status of all removal requests directly within the app in the Processing tab.
Additional Tips
Focus on high-risk potential vulnerabilities first, such as companies that might have financial or contact information.
