Step-by-Step Guide
Link Your Email Accounts:
Open the PrivacyHawk app and navigate to the Reduce My Digital Footprint section.
Link up to three email accounts from Google, Microsoft, or Yahoo to begin the scan.
Scan Your Digital Footprint (Free):
Once your email accounts are linked, PrivacyHawk will scan for companies found in your main inbox.
You’ll receive a list of identified companies that may pose privacy risks.
Send Opt-Out Requests (Premium and Platinum Features):
Select the companies you want to remove.
PrivacyHawk will send opt-out requests to these companies, you can either request for information deletion and/or ensure they stop selling your information to third parties.
Monitor Progress:
Check back in the PrivacyHawk app to see the status of your requests.
In some cases, companies might reach out to request additional information to process your request. These communications will appear in the Actions Needed tab within the app, making it easy to follow up and complete the process.
Manual Future Scans:
You can run new manual scans at any time in the future to catch any additional companies. This ensures you stay proactive about reducing your digital footprint.
